Ethiopia Sidama G1 | Medium Roast
Organic | Naturally Processed
This organic Ethiopia Sidama G1 is a vibrant reflection of its origin. Layered, fruit-forward, and beautifully balanced, it is sourced from the highland community of Aroresa in Sidama. This coffee is grown at elevations of 1,800–2,200 MASL, where cooler temperatures slow cherry maturation and allow complex sugars to fully develop.
We roast this coffee to a refined Medium. This profile is designed to preserve the coffee’s origin character while enhancing balance and sweetness. The roast allows the natural process to shine by highlighting fruit and floral notes without tipping into sharp acidity or roast-forward flavors.
Expect notes of lychee and pomegranate, complemented by hibiscus, cane sugar, and warm baking spice, with a gentle milk-chocolate undertone. The body is light and silky, the acidity is bright yet balanced, and the finish is clean with a lingering, fruit-forward sweetness.
This is Grade 1 specialty coffee (the highest designation in Ethiopia’s grading system) is produced by smallholder farmers and processed at the Kadela Wet Mill, operated by Worku Buche. Though called a wet mill, this lot is naturally processed, meaning the whole coffee cherry is dried intact under the sun. This approach that enhances fruit intensity and contributes to the coffee’s signature complexity.
Every Caffeinatrix coffee is selected and roasted with intention. We honor place, process, and people while delivering a cup that is expressive, balanced, and unmistakably Sidama.
