Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelechele G2 | Light Roast
Organic | Naturally Processed
This organic Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelechele is a luminous expression of one of the world’s most celebrated coffee regions. Grown in the high-altitude village of Chelchele, this coffee is vibrant, aromatic, and elegantly structured, showcasing the clarity and complexity that define Yirgacheffe.
We roast this coffee to a refined Light. This profile is designed to preserve the integrity of the origin while allowing its more delicate characteristics to fully emerge. The lighter roast highlights the natural process beautifully, emphasizing fruit, florals, and tea-like characteristics without overwhelming the cup.
Expect notes of tropical fruit and ripe plum, layered with hibiscus and black tea. A subtle hint of brown spice adds warmth and depth, creating a bright and composed flavor profile. The body is light, with a crisp acidity, and the finish is clean with a softly lingering floral sweetness.
This is Grade 2 specialty coffee, a high-quality designation within Ethiopia’s grading system, produced by smallholder farmers and processed at the Chelchele Coffee Station in partnership with Azeb Tadesse Coffee Supply. The coffee is naturally processed, meaning the cherries are hand-sorted and dried whole on raised beds under the sun for up to two weeks. This approach intensifies fruit character and enhances overall complexity.
