Sourced from one of Honduras’ most productive and diverse coffee-growing regions, this community lot reflects the range of microclimates and elevations that make Comayagua uniquely suited to coffees with depth and balance.
Roasted dark and carefully developed just into second crack, this profile is designed to emphasize body, sweetness, and richness while maintaining balance and clarity. The roast deepens the coffee’s natural chocolate character without overwhelming its structure, resulting in a cup that is indulgent yet composed.
In the cup, expect notes of dark chocolate and bittersweet cocoa, layered with molasses-like caramel sweetness and toasted almond. The body is full and velvety, the acidity is low and smooth, and the finish is long, warming, and luxuriously rich.
This coffee is produced by multiple smallholder farmers throughout Comayagua, including Alfonso Ramos, who has been cultivating coffee since the 1960s. A respected leader within his community, Ramos shares decades of expertise with farmers in remote areas and helps them improve quality, access markets, and negotiate fair prices. Because coffee is a perishable, consumable product, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges on any of our ground or whole bea coffees regardless of roast level or bag size. This is for quality control and health safety reasons.
